Default Freakin BMW break dust

I love my bmw to death, but the wheels get dusty so freaken fast. I spend so much time polishing and cleaning every inch of them, and then 2-3 days later, they are already getting black again. What can i do???!

ya, i would say look for some low dust brake pads, look at bimmerforums.com for some suggestions, but ya my family has a 2001 530i sport package and the wheels are the biggest pain in the *** to clean, and i get to clean them at least once a week while home, usually twice a week. so annoying, but they look so damn good when their clean!

Yea, the BMW rims look so great when clean. If there was a product that maybe put a protecting seal on the rim so that a simple high pressure wash of the rims will wash away the break dust.

Do you apply any wax or polish to your wheels currently? if you don't that may be why the dust is sticking so badly. You will want to use a synthetic wax or polish, carnauba won't last very long with the heat of the wheels and all.

Waxing your wheels will make the dust fall off easier with just simple car wash and water.

Really the only thing u can do is get dust-less brake pads...under hard breaking though(auto xing) u will experience a lot of fade. I talked to a bmw tech and he told me that the bmw pads are very soft b/c it helps then grip a lot better and stop better, the downside is they break down quickly(all the dust u experience) You could also get brake guards but they look so fricken ugly imo...wax will help but not much
