Default ENVautoDetailing Detailed | 2008 Bentley Continental

Here we have a gorgeous '08 Bentley Continental Flying Spur. This Bentley was in pretty good shape before the detail as we had given it a full 15 hour 2 day detail 3 months prior. But due to unfortunate circumstances the customer has been unable to park it in the garage for the past couple weeks. Now for the really bad news! It looks as though a couple birds had gotten into a fight on the trunk! There were tons of scratches all over the trunk lid and up to the roof. The whole car also had some micro marring from having been to a "100% hand wash" joint down the street when the customer needs an emergency wash done.

Equipment/Product List:

Chemical Guys wash buckets with Grit Guard Bucket Inserts
Chemical Guys Foam Cannon with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss
Speed Blaster Blower
DI Waffle Weave Drying Towel

DI Fine Grade Clay Bar
Chemical Guys Luber

Flex XC3401VRG
Meguiars M105
Menzerna PO203S Power Finish
Menzerna PO85RD

Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant

DI Great White Microfiber towels

First I needed to decontaminate the entire car. Always start with wheels first to avoid cross contamination and adding more swirls to the paint.

Here I'm using P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner to deep clean the wheels as they are multi-piece. This product works great at getting into all the crevices.

Next the car gets a full foam bath with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss at a concentrated ratio to strip previous protection. Then washed with a 2 bucket method using grit guards.

I'll then use a fine grade clay bar and Chemical Guys Luber to remove surface contaminates and leave us with a smooth surface to work with.

The entire car is then washed again and dried completely using a Speed Blaster Blower and DI Waffle Weave Drying Towel

Here are the pre-inspection pictures showing the micro-marring when under the sunlight.

On to the inspection pictures under halogen lighting. Here are the scratches on the trunk from the previously mentioned bird fight!

And here is the driver side door. Most of the car looks like this so I had some work to do!

Here is a 50/50 picture of the trunk lid after 1 pass with Meguiars M105 and an Orange Pad.

For the rest of the car M105 was not needed like on the trunk. After trying a few combos, I found Menzerna PO203S Power Finish with a Green Light Cutting pad netted a 90% correction rate.

Rear Quarter Panel/Bumper BEFORE.

Rear Quarter Panel/Bumper AFTER.

After the whole car was finished with Menzerna PO203S Power Finish there was still some haze being that this black is a "Pure" black. So I went on to finish it down further using Menzerna PO85RD on a Black Finishing pad and got another 5% correction for a total of about 95% correction rate!

Here you can see the left side with Power Finish is not as clear as the right side with PO85RD.

Here are the AFTER pictures in the sun once the car was completely finished with PO85RD.

Here is an AFTER picture under the light once the car was completely finished with PO85RD.

Here is the trunk lid all nice and cleaned up after the bird fight!

Lastly I sealed the car with Menzerna Power Lock Polymer Sealant applied with a foam pad by hand

And the Final Product.
