Default How many coats of Z5?

After repairing the damage the first owner did to my 2003 BLACK G35 I finally was able to put down 3 coats of Z5 today, each coats the car looks deeper, wetter and newer.
The previous owner had bad swirl marks. I started Thursday and did the following:
I read you shouldnt put more than 3 coats in 24 hrs, So it will be Tuesday night before I can put down any more coats.
I had planned to add 2 more coats of Z5, then finally a last coat of Z2.
    Is this the proper steps?

Sounds good! In order to get that many coats of Z5, must have been with ZFX. Don't know when you plan on doing this, but you could add another Z5 with ZFX. Followed by Z6 as you have been doing. Then Z2 with ZFX, again followed by Z6. And finally, assuming you have a garage, late afternoon/early evening Z2 without ZFX, I repeat without ZFX and let it dry for 8 - 10 hours. Why, I don't know, but it looks so much better. Maybe Doc has the answer.

If you are talking days or a week before undertaking that next 3 application make sure you wash with Z7, dry and apply Z6 before moving on to Z5 or Z2. Keep in mind, you can always go back an add Z5 at anytime. In my case, every 3rd or 4th application of Z2 is Z5.

Yea it takes the place of the Z1 and allows the polymer to "cure" quicker. I did three coats of Z5 today, but my car was not as badly abused as yours was. I'll be applying Z2 tomorrow. Probably 2 coats. Good luck. Posts some pics if you can. I attached one of mine.

Correct! Keep in mind, the mixing bottles are 2 ounce. Should be able to do car with 1 ounce or less of Z5 or Z2. When they say "drops", they mean "drops". Do not squeeze the ZFX vile. Only use 3-5 drops per 1 ounce of Z5 or Z2. I normally use 3-4.
