God does the 350z look sexy with a city backdrop. Especially in its best pose.. the rear 3/4 shot. Black on such a beautiful car is almost illegal. lol

Thank you ...I too like the looks of the city in car pics. I plan on doing some more. I want to try and do a sunset shot with all the city lights as well. But we'll see how the weather is and when I can get some free time.

Those are some fine cityscapes.

I can hardly wait for the warmer weather to hit and for the snow to recede...as soon as it does, I plan on taking the Z up to the local mountaintop and taking a few outdoorsy shots to break in the digicam I got for Christmas. It'll give us a nice city/country dichotomy for this thread.

I wish i knew how to get my pictures here, I obviously dont drive a Z, but i do have a huge black yacht that i show, I use all meguiar's stuff...and i do mean ALL. But mine looks like a wet mirror, even inside the wheel wells. If it's painted, it's shiny

I wish mine looked like that for 15 whole minutes. Mine was perfect for about 10 seconds, after i hit my sub-divisions roads and went around the block, then straight to the garage, it was bad again. Oh well, the price we pay for having the best color.

black350z,
Which meguiars wax did you use on that photo? The paint looks really dark and reflective? Is it #26 or meguiars nxt? I really like the nxt wax and it also darken my black paint. Im thinking of topping it with a #26 just to see if there's any noticable improvement. I wasn't a meguiar user before until i've tried their nxt tech wax and was very happy with the result. This is now my other favorite paint protectant right beside my s100. I've tried zaino, CG, and other high end products and these are the only two I always come back to when i want to amaze myself. I wonder how the #26 compares.

Well surprizingly its just the cheap Meguiar's three step process waxes that you find in Pep Boys, Walmart, Auto Zone, etc. Then I usually finish it off with their Final Inspection Spray wax detailer. Sometimes I also use Mothers. So I haven't used anything high end yet, but I do plan to just to see what kind of a finish I can get. But all in all...its just the normal $4.99 bottle of wax. Not too bad I guess.

Hey guys,

I am new to this chat room. I too have a superblack fairlady z. I just got mine back from the detail shop and she looks great. However there are still some minor swirls. I believe these are impossible to get rid of on a dark car. Could you guys give me some tips on how to wash her to keep these nasty swirls from appearing. I have considered using a touchless car wash... What do you guys think???

Thanks in advance
superblack z

try #39009 swirl mark remover from 3M.. its for dark cars and works wonders! Just use a very tiny amount and rub it in circles till it blends in with the paint.. then immediatly take it off. Also, using 100% cotton towels made in the US will help not produce swirls cause those towels are very soft! Make sure u dont spray wax the car when the paint is dusty. Hope this helps!
