Cleaning fiberglass fibers off paint?(Brad4rd..)
Last week I had a custom audio/video system installed in my 350Z. The company that did the install had to cut fiberglass and place t into my car. In the meantime, the particles from the cut fiberglass made its way onto my paint. The next day I rinsed the car for about 20 minutes before I proceeded to wash. Anyhow, after washing, I noticed fine swirl marks in the paint which I attribute to the fiberglass. The question I have is... should I throw away the wash mitt I was using (since it may have the fiberglass particles embedded in it), and what should I do to get these swirl marks out. What is upsetting is that I claybarred and Zaino'd just a week prior. Should I remove the wax and do it over again? Any info would be great!
