Default Please tell me a pro buffing job..

..gets swirl marks out!!! My buddy brought some powder stuff he got at a car show..said to dab damp rag into in and use to wax...I did all that but I don't think it was damp enough and did about a 2.5 ft area on the upper half of the driver door...it was super cloudy after wiping away...used wax like 3 times to clear it up but now in the light I see super fine swirl/scratch lines going in the up and down motion I waxed the area in...its like i used a dry pad on it or something...I'm super pissed.

Before you spend the $ on a pro, you might try buffing the scratches out yourself with a tube of Meguiar's Scratch-X. Works very well on fine scratches.

Does buffing with a buffer work better then doing it by hand?

See my post here:

(btw, it does not sound like something I would do in rubbing any kind of powder on my paint)

A buffer with a foam pad and 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009 is a great way to remove paint problems.
