There are quite a few of you who are using Zaino to make your Z happy. My question is, how much Zaino are you using per coat? i.e. for a single coat of Z2, how much? In addition, how much Z6 are you using?

I've got a LeMans Sunset Touring on order, and my wife is insisting that I make a budget of all the other 'goodies' that this is going to cost me. Although she still smiles when she says that despite the fact that this "under 27k car" is now _way_ past that figure after title, tax, and license.

In particular, I'd like to know how much Dr Bonz used to do his nifty little bit... wasn't it something like 3 coats of Z2 with Z6 used 3x per coat? I love the results, and want to duplicate them!

 

It's pretty simple. Most people get their Z-2 or Z-5 with ZFX, which is basically a drying accelerator. With the ZFX comes four 2oz vials. One of those vials, full of Z-2 or Z-5 and a few (~8) drops of ZFX is enough for at least two coats. A full bottle of Z-2 or Z-5 has got to be enough for at least 8-10 coats.

The Z-6 is very concentrated also. I just spray a little on, but some people mix it 1:1 with water.

 

I agree. You really use very little per coat. The layers you apply are extremely thin.
