Need help with bumper touchup
Yesterday I was parallel parking in Boston and it was a pretty big spot. I'd say enough for two cars (if both people KNEW how to park) or I could just hog one spot.
Well I decided to be nice and I got rewarded with a $hitbox Civic parked behind my car. His two bolts to his license plate made indents into my Chrome Silver bumper.
I wanted to key the hell out of his car and kick it in - but obviously that was not an option. I need to learn to live with the fact that if I'm in a city, my cars going to get messed up.
But anyways, these two scratches are down to the primer (or black bumper) but not dented. They aren't too bad so I want to try to touch them up. I know there are a few articles on touching up your sheetmetal, but is the bumper different? Some of the paint has bunched up around the scratches. Should I just slap some touch up and wetsand it with 2000 grit? And then polish?
Basically, are those articles applicable to the bumper? Sorry no pics.
