I bought the starter kit and an extra bottle of z6. The bottles seem small but I did a test run on my old mustang and I was easily able to do the whole car w/ less than 1 oz. and it was my first time working w/ the stuff. Seems like the starter kit is a good way to start .

I went to autopia.org and looked around here as well and the dftowels are highly recommended as are the ones from pakshak.com... I ended up buying a few of the medium dftowels and washmits... I also bought a waffle weave microfiber towel for drying (and it is really really good at drying). All those are pretty expensive... I also went to Target and bought a lot of the microfiber towels they have there in 2 packs under the brand name Baja Sol or something like that. They are $2.99 for 2 towels and they have washmits for $2.99 also. Let me tell you that the washmitts for 2.99 are awesome. The towels are also way good for 1.50 each, but they are not as good as the dftowels. I'm using them on not so critical but likely to get more dirty areas to save the more pricy towels for the main surface areas of the car. That's what I did.

I'm actually going to drop by Target and pick up a 2nd mitt.
