Default How hard to get 3M bra off??

I've got a new Redline Z with the 3 M bra already installed at the dealer. How hard will this be to get off? It is only on the edge of the hood and edge of the fenders, not at all on the Bumper. I appreciate any advise. If there is any chance of damaging the paint, I'll just leave it on.

Just peel it off an clean any residue with adheasive remover, no problem. It takes about 30 minutes to remove a full kit and clean the car.

Why not leave it on? I've had my car for 2 weeks now and I've already got a couple of nicks (probably from rocks) in the front bumper. I'm seriously considering getting the 3M clear bra, but not sure who to trust with an install here in nyc and cost. If it were me and I already had it on the car I would leave it. -m

You've only been with her a few days and already you are trying to get her bra off!

Default Why Off?

Just out of curiosity why do you want to remove the bra? Does it look bad, bubbles, discoloring? I would like to have it installed when I finally receive my car. I've heard lots of positive remarks about the 3m film. I would like to hear the other end of the spectrum.

The car hasn't arrived to my home yet from shipping so I do not know for sure that I will remove it, it should be here tomorrow. Maybe it is a good thing, I will have to see. The only thing is that they didn't cover the bumper at all, only the hood and fenders, this seems very odd to me, if I like it, I will add it to the bumper cover but I am skeptical. I will post when it arrives and my impressions, I'm just glad that I have an option of removing it if I wish. Its kind of like force feeding a baby, I may be hungry but I am resistant since I had no choice, now that I have a choice, I may just like it!!!

I just received my redline. It is somewhat noticeable, there are a few bubbles in the lines of the hood and at the edge of the hood. My first impression, I would say that the 3M kit is worth having on the car to prevent chips and dings, I may change my mind when we get some sunshine here in KC though. On the bumper cover where there isn't any 3m film, I already have 2 rock indentions from the transport truck, while they are very small, if there were numerous indentions, it would look terrible so even though its slightly noticable, I would say it will pay 2-3 years down the road.
