Default Just got me a 2004 350Z Track

Just got me a 2004 350Z Track and thought I say hello to everyone.

This is my first rwd until now I've been riding in my Celica GTS that after I blew the engine is now waiting to get the engine build with stronger pistons and so forth to hold more PSI from my Turbo.

The new Z will be my everyday driver but after the first few days I don't think I can resist to mod it out some and start racing that puppy as well...

I hope I get to contribute as well.

Here are my best times on the Celi so far
best 1/4 mile 13.7 at 2200 feet elevation
best 1/8 mile 8.707
best 60' foot on DR's 1.854

looking forward to some cool 350Z times

now I need to learn how to do a burnout on a rear wheel drive

Congrats. My last sports car was a 93 RX7 with a T78 and street porting.

I am sure you'll love the Z, but don't expect 13's at 2,200' in elevation, while its stock.

A few pointers, launch at around 3K, and set your shift light for 6,900 rpms, shifting right as it lights up.

I hope you enjoy your new Z.

cool thanks

I'm going to start a bit conservative in terms of mods, the usually CAI and exhaust and DR's and see how that goes.

Question: where does the limiter kick in exactly?

Ive noticed that it differs from Z to Z. On my Z my limiter used to kick in right after redline, at 6700 rpm. I could NOT shift at 6900 if I set the light to that. I would shift at 6600 in mine. Some like Veetec above and BriGuyMax on here say they set theirs to 6900 right before fuel cut. Im beginning to think that some people have optimistic tachs...I know even now with my reflashed ecu that lets me rev to 7100, my fuel cut hits right at that point on the tach. Figure out whats up with your Z and go from there. Even though we make peak power at 6200 shift at redline for better traps. Congrats on your Z, and nice 60ft times from your Celi....how much boost where you running when you ran those times? What kind of kit do you run-SF?

thanks

I was first running a 75 shot and then later on got the SF kit. I was running about 8 psi when I hit the 1.854 60' foot.
We never got to finish tuning though. Once the engine is build up I'm going to push it harder. One of my team mates is just waiting for his new build tranny and then he'll be able to hit 400whp in his celi. He just received his build stroker motor .That will be interesting
But it looks like it's much easier for me to get to that level with the Z so I'm doing some soul searching for the next month to see if maybe I should invest in getting the Z up there instead and make the celi the daily...only time will tell
