Default new personal best 12.92@106.81mph ALL MOTOR pics and video

Hadn't been to the track in ages so I went down to San Antonio Raceway last night for some test and tune runs. I wanted to test out the new APS Tallboy Plenum and 5Zigen Miracle exhaust I picked up from www.splparts.com and see if I would run any better than last year. I broke into the 12's last year with a 12.98 original post here. I went back a couple times to try to better it but came up a bit short with several 13.0's and 13.1's but couldn't seem to get into the 12's again. So that was my goal for last night.

First run was a 13.06@104.63 and the car felt strong so that gave me hope to break the 12's again.
Second run was a 12.96@106.38! Mission accomplished.
Third run was 12.92@106.81. Almost a 12.8! This was my best run of the night.
Fourth run was a 12.93@106.56 so I was definitely consistent.

Here are the time slips(car#35):
12.96

12.92 - this run was against a bike. He got me on the reaction, but i caught him on the launch. After that he walked me but i think i surprised him a bit.

12.93

The new setup is making a bit more power as my 60 foots were slightly higher than my previous best of 1.69 but I trapped slightly higher than my old 106.11 on 3 of the runs and beat my old ET on those same 3 runs.

Here are two videos. In the first one you can see the timing board - the 9 in the 12.93 is hidden by a light pole.
12.93 video
i believe this is the 12.96 run
12.9x video

Thanks again to Kuah at SPL for video taping the runs and for hooking me up with all my parts.

What did you run against in the second race. he had a 2.389 60" andthen turned a 12.1/123 that must be a 11.5 or better car.

Good job and consistant.

Congrats!

What kind of tires are you running? After I get some new rubber, I am hoping to break off a few high 12's.

Never mind. I see you were running skinny tires up front, an slicks on the back.

Thanks fellas. The ET Streets sure do make launching a lot easier. I definitely recommend them to everyone.

Alberto, how have you been running since you installed the turbo kit? I haven't been on the board much so missed any posts you might have made.

I also forgot to mention that i'm no longer running the 350EVO larger throttle body. It crapped out on me at Texas World Speedway this summer so i'm back to using a stock one. Guess the new intake plenum and exhaust really are working well together.

Nice runs! Congrats! I agree that there's definitely some more 60' sitting on the table.

In other news: The let you run cars against motorcycles at your strip????? They've never allowed this at any strip that I've been too. It would be cool to line up with some of my friends who always talk $hit about their cars and give them a smack down with my R6 (high 10s @125-128mph). It would also be cool to line up my Z with some bikes...as most riders suck big time.

Also find it very surprising. This can't be an NHRA sanctioned track?
