man.... after watching your video, you need to heat your tires up more, i sit there and smoke mine for about 7-10 seconds.

i pulled my 1.7s bogging down off the line....

you can cook an egg off mine when i am done with them

good job though and heat them up more, you will pull 1.6s easily with that power..

Congrats Bert! I know you have the ST setup, but are you running stock internals, if so, How much boost was you running at the time you ran 11.98?

Thanks guys-audible after wathcing myself I also think I need to heat them up more. Do you heat them in 1st or 2nd gear? With a 1.6 60ft, and good conditions, oh man drop .2 tenths off EASY...all on a street tune

Sly-this was on 9psi, 93 octane street tune man.

i back up into the water and spin them in first, then pull up (make sure the brake fuse is pulled, im sure you know this) then i put it in second, rev it to about 4500 and drop it and barely, i mean barely press the brake. i sit there for about 7 - 10 seconds and heat them up really really well

my burnouts are about three to four times as long as yours

keep it up man, with that trap you will be running 11.6s on a good run

i know your car is faster, i just would like to beat your et to liven up the "race" a bit

Hell yeah man no doubt, Ill try 2nd gear next time-I just have a fear of burning my clutch starting in 2nd for the spin. Beat my time and Ill come back faster! In the end, the Z community will look better

you wont hurt your clutch as long as you get your slicks wet.... thats the key, if not you might hurt it... wait till you feel when you are doing the burnout in second and you let off the brake, that feeling when it hooks up right there is the sickest feeling!!

cant wait till wednesday!!!!!!

I always do the burnout in 2nd gear and have hit 1.6's but I do have a linelock which allows me to burnout as long as I want...

I do however have to launch at 5500 after that or I bogg.

good run

great run and you ave indeed done a lot for the community by this achievement...

Not to dis anyone or anything..but theres a lot of z's claiming 450-500 rwhp..But then when you look at there ET's there only running high 11's -low 12's...

some of them say there in the 400 rwhp range and still only run high 12's???

So it's really good to see a Z that only claimed 390 rwhp that ran an 11.9 ( about right for a 3300 pound car with 390 rwhp IMHO on slicks)

for a while there with all the big dyno numbers and slow ET's I thougt that you guys were gonna end up going the way of the Supra..But YOUVE defiently proved that one wrong...

Congradulations and I cant wait to see what you run in normal conditions on the race gas...11.5's anyone?????

SICK

unfortunatly i was the poor sucker who ran him on that run.i knew he was gonna be quick so i tried but i have never run with the stillen before and the 245/45/17 street tires just went up in smoke(gotta get some dr,s bad)so i got to see most of his run out the drivers window, that was an exp itself, sideways 1/4 the way up the track.btw its an auto so flame me.
