audible, this is a street car full interior less a/c and radio. scaled the car at the track. weighed in at 3650. You could search boulder nissan in previous threads. Eric will post pics soon on this thread. Thanks, Jason

Robert, It would be great to hook up with you and other Z's sometime. I think I saw in another post that you are headed to Iraq? If so, take care and we will have to hook up when you get back. Thanks again, Jason

cessna, typically they print all the weather info on the timeslip and I can punch it into a DA calculator. However, they did not the other day. I believe the temp out was 74 to 75 degrees and the track is 1/4 mile and sits at 5800 feet. I asked on a local forum and a few people said it was around 7500' DA. Let me know what you come up with or if you need more info. Thanks, Jason

3650, i am very curious how this is possible. i have gutted my car out. all the useless interior stuff, no power steering, no windshield wiper fluid, no bumper reinforcements, lightweight battery and my car weighs 2900 pounds exactly without me in it. my race weight is a bit lighter. the car weighs right under 3200 stock. did you mean 2650?? im confused.

those times are very nice and should be a lot better soon. good luck. glad to see lots of nice drag racing times lately....

also can you post your time slips. what kinda 60 foot times you getting on those et streets. might want to invest in some et drags next... sounds like you really might be spinning a lot still. 127 trap is great, but seems like you can get some better et s soon

why was the transmission changed? Do you run faster times with 3 weaker gears?

gear ratios on that transmission are these right?
1st 2.46
2nd 1.46
3rd 1.00

That and he can build boost at the line before launch, come off the line harder with it, shift it faster than a 6spd etc when he gets it all sorted out.

With the small turbos in the 350z twin kits yeah you could maybe build a tiny bit of boost (a couple PSI maybe) with linelocks on launch, but I bet nowhere near full boost like you can do with an auto with appropriate stall. With a larger turbo you probably wouldn't be able to build any boost at the line with linelocks and you'd likely do a nice job of overheating your clutch trying to, perhaps to the point of ruining it in a single pass even I'd wager.

audiblemayhem, I am 99% sure that is our race weight. This is with Eric (appr. 185 lbs.) in the car and a quarter tank of gas. Remember we have a full bodykit, vertical door kit (had to reinforce door jambs), th350 ( not sure of the difference in weight from manual), roll bar plus door bars, larger than factory 19 inch front wheels and I am sure their are a few other mods that probably added weight. I will post the slips tommorow. Thanks, Jason

Nealoc187 mentioned the above advantages on the th350. You also will not lose boost between shifts. Thanks, Jason

audiblemayhem, The th350 is very streetable. It is easier in a lot of ways to drive around town than our manual was. If our car was going to see alot of street driving I would go with a smaller stall converter. Probably somewhere in the range of 3500rpm. This would be a nice comprimise between the street and dragstrip imo. -Jason

Here is a pic of the exterior, and of the shifter. These are the only ones that I have right now. I will post some more of under the car/tranny on Monday. As Jason said this is a full street car, and the weight that he posted was correct, 3,650 pounds . Will post more pics on Mon. Thanks Eric

damn and to think the best i ever did at bandi was a 12.6 in my mr2... i did get second place two years ago at the import drags in the street class, lost to Brandon's silver RX7 by .08 of a second

i had a two-step rev limiter on it as well. with boost set at 16 lbs, i could launch from the line with 9-11 lbs built... varied a little bit based on what rpms i had it set at.

damn nice car, make me wish i was still in CO to watch it run...
