Default 1st time at the track (1/8th)

Like I said 1st time at the track in my 03 enthusiast. The only mod I have is exhuast. I also had a crap load of laundry in the back of the car and didn't remove anything. Any way heres what the slip looked like.

R/T... .276
60'... 2.263
330... 6.193
mph... 58.08
1/8... 9.363
mph... 76.95

Had a bunch of other 9.4xx and a few 9.6's lol obviously the 60 is hurting me but I just really didn't know what to do to fix it. I'd launch hard and bounce half way down the track or bog out of the hole. Just couldn't find the sweet spot tonight. It was fun though. Track was Kennedale raceway. Like 85-90 degrees, pretty humid no idea what the elevation was.

Any helpful hints from the peanut gallery?

thats pretty slow, i would work on some shifting and take all the crap out of the back, you should be 78-80.

good luck next time and keep it up, all about practice...

uh. I don't know everyother z there was about 9.6 one at 9.2 but he had a few things done and a nice set of tires.

I don't think shifting is a problem, mainly the start

VN 350 thanks for the ego boost. ha jk

One-eight of a mile is too damn short!

As you mentioned, your 60-foot times are putting a serious hurt on your ET. There is no secret to 2.0 second 60-foot times on street tires. Just practice.

That 60ft is hurting you, but even with a 2.2 the 1/8 ET is slow-proving your shifting needs work. Practice will lower your times. With a 2.18 60ft Ive gone 8.9 @ 79mph stock (was my first run ever), you can do better!!

the 1/8th mile is where all of the fun is. almost every fast car i know is in its 1:1 gear by that time. launch, shift, shift, shift let out.... 1/8th mile

Thanks guys. It will get cooler by the end of the month and I'll clean out the car and get some more runs in. I'd like to do 9.1 maybe 9.0 if the planets line up. I'll keep you guy's posted.

For me to get to 1:1 by the 1/8 trap, I'd have to be trapping at about 120mph. That's crazy fast.
