Dave B knows what's up. He mentioned Cecil-thats where I ran my 13.1 @ 107mph with bolt-ons, its true, some track, especially in certain conditions are flat out faster...that takes nothing away from the driver IMO though, still a damn good job.
well, the truth comes out alberto, it was the track!! busted...
i actually ran that 12.9 @ 106 at one of the worst tracks, i should have driven to another track and ran it before cause Orlando Speedworld sucks!! everyone knows this...

thats what i was thinking...
a few more runs and i would have had it, i actually need to quit changing soo much stuff and leave the car alone, every day its some new crazy major project...

How is this for a stock Z, first ever time drag racing? Where can I improve?
Thanks!

well in sacramento and napa<infineon> the difference in times i have had was .2 on the quarter on my old car. and 1.5 mph difference. the reason also being that tail winds head winds and also the slope at the end of the infineon track.

I totally agree. You run what you run.
Not saying Fluid1 is guilty of this, but it just bugs me when people claim their car is some sort of "freak" or that they're some sort of world class driver when their car pulls above average times. Almost everytime, it can linked to the track and the conditions. It also bugs me when people improve their times significantly (.3+) and say it was because of their new intake or exhaust and then you do the DA calculation and figure out the DA and an improved 60' was responsible for the improvement, not the mods
Just a change in 1800' of DA was good enough to take my G35 from upper 14.4s to lower 14.3s with absolutely no changes to the car or 60'. People just don't understand this stuff and they really should.

When I posted that my car picked put 23 to 24 mph in the last 1/8 I got flamed because people couldn't believe a NA Z could accelerate that hard. They basically said it had to be a malfunction on the timing equipment or a strong tail wind.

Given the humidity, I didn't expect to ET very well but I was hoping I would trap better than 100. I hit 103mph on one run, 102.97 on another and the rest were pretty much 101 although the only run that my rad/clutch fan were not on was the 103mph run. I ran the damn heater nonstop trying to get those fans to turn off, but they just wouldn't. I was down about 15-20HP as a result of the fans running. I also had to really baby the thing out of the whole, or it would one wheel peel (no lsd). Here's my goof off video from the Rock that night:

Either way shoot me a PM next time you head to the track and if I can make it out, i'll bring my camcorder and get you on tape.
