Jeremy, do you mind me asking, how much $ it has taken to run 10's?

The subject has come a few times before, and I was just curious.

im not a good one to ask this, i got a crazy deal on the motor and turbo, then did a lot of hard work and swapped motors out of a G into my car. parted out the G and made it stock, then sold all the items.

i honestly have about 10 000 into my whole car. thats spread out over a year....

to do it in another car from scratch, you are looking at right about 20 000 to do it correctly...

Ok. I was thinking it could be done for about $10-$15K, if I did it. That does sound about right. Thanks.

Jeremy-

All I can say is----SICK!

Great runs man!

Did I miss the size of the n2o shot you're using when you spray? Are you using just a 50 or 75 shot just to get you through the lag?

i was actually using a 50 dry shot with bottle pressure at 675, soooo it was probably only around a 25-30 shot at best. BUT i could barely feel it.

i will be running a 150 shot here soon as i throw in the tranny.. hehe

Jeremy you went with a reverse manual valve body right? What did they tell you about downshifting while moving? I was told that was a big no no and wondered if you had heard differently. Sometimes it sucks when you go into 3rd and have to stop to get back into 1st especially if you want to downshift from a roll.

Cant wait to see what you do with the new tranny. I thought you got rid of that G35 a long time ago as well.

I really like that G56 idea you got going there, sounds like it would be a pretty fun car. I would like to see more SR20 swaps done though to reduce the weight of the car and all. How much do you think you guys could do an SR20 swap for?

people shouldnt worry about weight on these cars, mine is pretty light, i will put up my official weight after i put in the turbo 400 and make a few passes. my clutch really is limiting what the car will do right now.

yeah charlie, i have manual reverse, i am told NEVER downshift it, they said you can put it back into second if you are almost stopped and back into first only if you are stopped. the weird thing is , i am told that when we go through the traps at 140 something here soon we just have to let off and let it run backwards through the gears, do you have any way of putting it in neutral with your shifter

thats all i am missing is my shifter, i want a smaller one that will go into my factory location. gotta figure that out pretty fast here..

I got a b&m on mine that locks out nuetral and reverse with a trigger. If you want you can take a look at it and mess with it to see if you like it or want something else. I sent you a PM with my number so just call me over the weekend if you get the chance.

The last time you mentioned your weight, it was at about 2800lbs. That is pretty light, but your car is pretty stripped also. I figured though with an SR20 swap, the car could easily weigh under 2600lbs. Thats a pretty freakin light Z. It would change the handling dynamic of the car so much. Im sure your car could handle rediculously also.

Good luck on taking out the motor and all.

im calling you later man, i have to fix the rear main seal and then i am putting the tranny on, i have to work till 4...

thanks!!

with carbon fiber doors and hatch, fully caged, WITH a VQ, the car could weigh 2400 pounds without driver without a doubt...

the VQ really isnt all that heavy, i wish i had a way to weigh parts that big right now why i have the motor sitting here

definitely not that heavy. I carried one by hand and put it in the back seat of another car when we sold it. My friend had it in a big rubbermaid box so i had handles
