Iv'e been argueing with these dumb*sses on streetfire.net for a few days now, how many people actually think that a Grand prix GTP can beet a 350z? I drive a 350z, obviously, and i know from experience that they can stomp GTP's easily.

Are you the one in the thread claiming that stock form Z's runs low 12 in the 1/4 and then changed it to low 13's? If so, you are wrong on both accounts.

a gtp can be made very quick with some easy bolt ons...however stock for stock 100% its the Z. Coming from a GTP myself, it is very easy to make these things into sleepers. Pulley, ECU, downpipe, will make it surprisingly quick. I also through in a cam for good measure to open things up top-end wise

Stock 350z's can run mid 13's, given the right driver, my z has only a Fujita f5 short ram intake, and can run a 13.4

Look at the survey for clubgp. Many have blown their engines with the 3.4 swap and also the 3.2 with supporting mods including me. Those engines overheat, extremely sensitive to knock retard, and difficult to launch when you are hauling 4k lbs to the front wheel.
Since those cars have no other talent other than going in a straight line and carrying around 5 rednecks, they focus on quarter mile.
Had a quick 1 gear run w/ a guy - 3rd @4500 rpm till the end of 3rd. It was grand prix or gtp..was supercharged (stock or modded SC i dont know)';im stock. Had guage pillars, etc...prolly had other mods as well.. We were even pretty much the whole time...
