I have APS twins, ACT clutch, light weight flywheel, EVO TT exhaust, Invidia test pipes, and MT ET drs. When I went to the strip last I would go through the wet box spin a little to get my tires wet, pull up drop the clutch at 5k and power break it. The RPMs starting dropping I would ease off the break, but then the car would start pulling forward, this was bad because the tires would barely smoke if at all. I was thinking of trying dropping it in 2nd to get a faster wheel spin, but i'm afraid it will bog down and fall on it's face. I know if I get my tires warmer they will hook up a lot better. Anyone else with drs do you drop it in 2nd?
thats a problem with a lot of the tracks that have a Friday street car night . They dont prep the track at all , and its harder than hell to get under 2 sec 60 ft. and the times are slow .
I have the same problem at the same track. Bristol Dragway. They dont prep the track worth a damn for the street fight nights. Since they just had Pinks All Out this past weekend you should try to get some runs in 350z 2nr, Tuesday or Thursday where the track might still be prepped some from that. I got an 11.9 with a 2.0 sixty. Had the same problem doing the burn out, guess ill try pulling the fuse to the rear brakes.

Do you know what fuse it is? I'm afraid the weather won't be good for them to have street fights any this week. Which sucks pretty bad, what night are you going down? It would be fun to run ya.
Its in the fuse box next to the clutch...it says Brake on it (look on the fuse box locator on the fuse box door). I did it last time I went to the track and I could do a burnout for as long as I wanted. Just remember to put it back in before you leave...
Is it safe to run the car without it? haha I mean can I stop haha
removing the fuse dose nothing to your braking power, all it does is eliminate the circuit that lights the tail lights and lets the computer know when your useing the brake...and its called "brake lamp" fuse ...you brakes are not affected after you remove it...removing it allows you to burn out because the comp does not think your using the brake and doest not cut the throttle as it usually does
