Sometimes the domestics do grudge mania at these events and they wont show the times. It bothers some but I'm more interested in seat time and you still get a slip.
Runday Sunday is when they don't show the times. Well, as far as I know.

Thanks guys for the compliments on the rims. I atleast wanted to look good "flying" down the track.

I am down for the Dec. Sat night. Make it a weekend? Stay the night in a motel?

I thought everyone paid before the meet? I know Tom needed more to show to break even. TOm let me know what I can do. You helped me with the meet we had down here.

Chris

Hey Jay so do they give you a slip with your time when they dont show them? Also I never got to meet you and rattle your brain

Thanks

Unfortunately they don't cut any breaks, I tried that yesterday because I goofed on the time the track would be open until and they said too bad (not in those exact words).

Chris ...you do get time slips.

Well coach...how much is needed to reserve the track? I be we have about 10-15 guys that would pay right now. We could even invite other car imports if we dont get enough Z/G owners.....Hell I wonder if we could get some media coverage if we tried...

The deposit is 1,000 and then 2,500 on the day of the event. I negotiated the price down to 50.00 per racer and needed 70 cars to break even. IMO any more than 50.00 and it would be tough to sell to drag racers. I had 29 prepays and approx 20 that said they would pay the day of the race.None of them showed. I was on several different racing forums down here in FL advertising the race and received alot of "I'll be there" and only 1 showed.

IMO I think a Saturday Night Showdown or Runday Sunday would work out just fine. I ate 2 grand on this, but thats ok. I don't know if you would want to do that.

Let us know

You're correct Danny. And it stinks because if you don't know the person, you have no idea how they did. And you only get about maybe 4 runs because they have sooo many classes you have to wait for. Runday Sunday sux.

I just hate all the standing around you gotta do for hours when one of the pro comp racers spill their guts all over the track. I only got 2 runs in last time out 5 hrs I was there

I've heard the same thing about Runday Sunday...I've been to several Saturday Night Showdowns and if you get there when they open at 6pm you can get some good runs in before it gets too crowded. My preference is Sat.night.

Gina, are you going to be the first girl dragging your Z?
