How many guys go to moroso here? I was hoping to get alot of people together and head up there one night and have some fun. Last time I was there on a wednesday I got like 12 or 13 runs and I quit around 9pm and left early..I want to go more as I finally ordered a helmet and wont have to rent one thats been used 1,000,000,000 times . To me Wednesday are the best days to go. Fridays are too ridiculous.. I wont be going today as my helmets not here yet and im crazy tired from my workout. Is anyone interested in linking up there in the future?

 

I went yesterday! it was fun got about 6 runs in and then it started to drizzle and I didn't feel like waiting so I left early. Track was pretty slick yesterday though and I couldn't get below a 2.1 60, the firebird next to me with drag radials only cut a 2.09-60ft so idk. I'm planning on getting a set of 03-05 track wheels early next month so I might wait until that cause I can't stand these T1-R's. If u guys do plan a meet before then i'll probably still try to go

 

Glad you had fun. I got my helmet in yesterday so i'll be there next week for sure.. I suck at the 60. My best time is like 2.2 or 2.3. I just cant get any lower.. I run Bridgestone S-03's.. There good but only sticky when there hot. I'll probably go back to BFG or get the Toyo 888's. Im looking for new wheels. My Ruff racings are cool/cheap but they weight the same as a baby rhino..lol..

Did they prep the track at all?

 

if by that you mean did they spray water and then do nothing, yeah they prepped it lol. It was only my second time there so I know I have to improve my launch too so I can't just blame the track but I've heard countyline down south is much better, but moroso is a lot closer to me. I think my GT-M's (29.5lb-fr-30.0lb-rr, without tires) might be slowing down my ET and I know the T1-Rs are horrible so i'm thinking about either selling them or just getting a set of track wheels or both, not sure yet. my buddy want to go next weds, in his truck so I might go as well.

Just got word today that they're closing the drag strip and road course at moroso May 19th till fall of 08. I heard they're putting about 25 million in renovations to get the big events down here. I propose everyone goes tomorrow before they close!
