1st time to the track in my G35
I have a 05 (Rev-up) G35 coupe and finally got the track a lil while ago for the first time in this car. My mods are in my sig below. With everything done to my car it seemed like my car was running much slower than it should have been. I understand that i was still learning the car and was lucky enough to get about 15 runs in but even my MPH was low and closer to that of what a bone stock G35 runs.
There was another guy with his 350z there and he was running almost identical ET's and MPH. Since i dont have a scanner i will just type out my 2 best time slips for your review.
2rd: 1st: Highest MPH run
60': 2.287 2.271 2.480
330': 6.187 6.167 6.391
1/8: 9.354 9.327 9.526
MPH: 78.02 79.25 79.10
1000' 12.037 12.003 12.240
1/4: 14.290 14.257 14.489
MPH: 100.85 100.91 101.12

The car is running OK picking up 20 MPH in the second 660 feet. The problem is 60 foot times. Run a 2.0 second 60 foot time and you will be running better than 14.0 seconds.
15 runs may be a lot of practice for one day, but it may also be a disadvantage. As you are working to improve your technique run after run, the motor is getting hotter and hotter. Hot lapping a car is exciting, but degrades performance.
