Default First time....I suck! lol

I'm still on stock block, running 9.4 on 275 BFG DR's @ 25psi. If I launched any higher than 2-2300rpm's I'd spin as soon as I got the clutch all the way out. And I was riding the clutch!

My best run of the day...
0.252 r/t
2.075 60ft
8.392 1/8
87.94 MPH

A Cobra blew the rear end when launching no long after I got there. After that I quit trying to launch hard. What's the avg 1/8 mile times for TT guys?

How much power?

25psi is way too high for DR's

Start at 16psi next time and do 2nd gear burnout's.

That is .1 faster down the 1/8 than my NA time, you have lots of room to get better.

About 416whp & 374tq on JT's DJ. I figured I would have done better n/a cause I spun so bad. I'm gonna go back this weekend if it doesn't rain. I'll try it a 16psi next time.

I've been wanting to ask this for a long time...

For higher hp guys, can they just put it into 2nd, dump the clutch, and burnout like that?

That's not a bad run at all, for your first time.
Completely stock, I ran this, on the 1/8th, on street tires.

RT: .529
60: 1.99
ET: 9.046 @ 78.043mph

You can do it in an NA car too. I did it in my HR when Alberto let me use his slicks. The only downside is the stock clutch doesnt like it.

Practice makes perfect. I am learning this also. I went back to the track for the second time the other day. I was screwing up my launches and could not stay consistent at all. I got another 12.7@112 with a 2.0 60ft. This was on street tires.

Im willing to bet it was pretty close to your 1/8th. Just under 9 seconds, and a trap of about 88mph.

I dont understand this mentality. Why run with more power when you cant hook up now? Id try to extract everything out of low boost before moving up.
