hey guys my buddy just bought a firehawk and he wants to run me to see what it will do. its a 1998 and completly stock.its an automatic and they were 4 speed autos. the tires have almost no tread left so he spins. he took me for a ride today and it spun through 40 mph.

i was windering how you guys think i would do agianst him??

my mods are nismo wheels 18's, goodyear eagle F1's, nismo intake, pure plenum spacer, HKS HI-power exhaust, and crawford HFC's.

so what do you guys think i would do. we will prob. go from a dig. which i know he will spin in. and from a roll. what kind of roll do you think i should do?? i dont race much he jsut wants to see what it will do. so dont tell me not to race. i just want a general opinion. thanks!!!!

and is there any other little things i can do to take a little weight without taking anything apart. or a little power. i will prob take out my spare tire. btu thats all it can think of. thanks!!!!

man i was hoping i would get him. it is an automatic so he spins for a while like i said especially from a stop. and i hook from a stop really good. so i was expecting to jump on him. idk we wil see. sometime.

so you guys think he will kill me. will it even be close??


and a firehawk is a ws6 trans am with a different hood and spoiler and wheels. thats what he told me. and the different hood gets like 10 extra hp or something.

If he spins and you hook, he will be playing catch-up. But he will catch up and probably get by you at the end. I think they run 13.8 on an average run. Should be a fun race.

 

Stock A4s are not all that quick. Drive the hell out of your car, and you may have a shot.

 

witnessed a bone stock automatic hawk running 13.0x @ 106-107mph almost all day at morocco in Indiana a few years ago. The firehawk came with some extras and they are no slouches.

But chances are you suck at racing since you dont even know the strong points of your own cars powerband.

 

The firehawk is going to own you from any speed, especially in an automatic. Sorry, but have fun at the track

well on the way to aikido i ran in to him on the highway and we went from a 45-100. he pulled about a car and a half at around 80 and we just held it there. so he got me by a car and a half. i didnt think the outcome was to bad. thanks for the help guys!!

 

Yea, it's the f'in serialized dash plaque that gives him the advantage. It's probably worth 10 horses or so... GL
