give it time, wait till some good drivers get some 370's. the current 350 hr record wasn't set till almost a year after it came out

forgive my ignorance because i am not sure what the HR has.. but i know after driving my gf's 2008 Altima Coupe... the push button start and keyless entry alone is enough for me to get a 370z over my 350 .. and thats not even based on a performance issue.. then there are other features like auto-headlights too..

370z is the shiznit. To me the revmatching feature would be the deal maker, along with the push button start and the newer chassis that can pull almost 1.00 g around the skidpad on stock tires.

How can you not love what this car can do? It is an amazing car for the price.

agreed, like i stated, the new FEATURES! are well worth it, especially if you wait another year, to let nissan get all the kinks out ( if there are any) they out weigh the price by far

Well if you are into gadgets then I can see that.

But then you don't get some stuff the 350z has. You also get a engine that overheats and goes into limp mode by daily driving or sprinted hill country drives. Brakes that fail due to soft rotors, loose drivers seat, and so on.

Of course it's the first year, but they never fixed the issues on the G37 yet which two of those it has.

100 degree temps, the oil cooler might help, but I see it still going into limp mode on a road course no doubt.

2 oil coolers...

and/or better radiator...

but 2 oil coolers sounds cooler...

(pun intended)

but yeah, if nobody comes up with a viable working solution to that, the it'd be pretty lame. but in reality, less than 1% z owners actually track their cars. and the part of that less than 1% that autox's them won't have overheating problems...

its not so much gadgets.. but its such an ease to be able to walk up to the car.. open the door.. start the car.. drive to your destination.. get out.. lock the door and never have to take the key out of your pocket.. i can't tell you how much i love that convinence.. also with the headlights i never have to touch it.. it just comes on

Like many have said, it's all down to the driver not the cars. They are very equally matched.
what did you run and what did he/she run???

2.3-2.4 60s and 13.8 at 104~ is what I ran with no 1st gear traction.

370z 14.0-14.4 most of the night, I think he got a 13.9. He did traps around 101-104.

Just to compare, a close to stock 99 TransAm auto running mid to high 13s from 101-105 traps. Ran a stock G8 with drags also, and we were dead even all the way down the track with his nose like 1 foot ahead of mine. This was on one of my bad launch runs where I got a 14.1.

got it nice...also I assume the 370 was stock... and was trapping similair to your modded HR....

not trying to start anything just making an observation...

I believe with more seat time the 370 will begin to see some great times stock.. better than the HR's but for now it seems to be a battle of drivers..... and this is not taking anyting away from the HR

well my gf thru the white slips i got away from the night!so there goes that I took them out of my pants pockets and left them on the bed..its what I get haha..but you can clearly see the guy in the 370Z did get a nice run on the 9.3 pass even tho his reaction was a terd...it still put down a comparable time.

Im waiting for the local stealership to get a 6 spd sport in and go test drive it since I have connections there...maybe..do it on thursday around 6ish..track night :-Xlol

That's unfortunate because without time slips I cannot tell who won.
