Default went to sac speedway

i got 7 runs in on my 04.

so last time i was at the track i ran 14.2@102 with just intake.

since then i installed the 5/16 MD spacer and Injen exhaust.
here were my runs, pretty disappointed.

60'- 2.431
1/8- 9.308
1/4- 14.169@103.966

60'- 2.410
1/8- 9.313
1/4- 14.204@102.993

60'- 2.513
1/8- 9.521
1/4- 14.463@100.795

60'- 2.591
1/8- 9.604
1/4- 14.532@100.778

60'- 2.280
1/8- 9.267
1/4- 14.168@103.339

60'- 2.222
1/8- 9.223
1/4- 14.140@102.942

60'- 2.330
1/8- 9.350
1/4- 14.294@100.818

yes i know my 60' killed me, i could hook at ALL!
i hooked good when i launched at about 2500, anything above that would spin.
tried feathering the clutch and it still spun.

tire psi was 3300..

im gonna go back next wed. and try again maybe i can hit 13's if i lowered my psi to about 2500 and launched at 3-3.5K.

uh, tire pressure of 3300? I think you mean 33. 104 traps is pretty mega for three bolt-ons. I ran a 13.48 with only a bit more trap than you (1.98 60') with intake/spacer/tp's/exhaust/and reflash.. That time is going to change very soon once it cools down. Overall not too bad for your second time out.

yeah my bad i meant 33. lol
well i dunno how you got a 1.9 60' because i barely got 2.2 with a low launch.
i practiced my launch but the track it felt slippery. i could hook whatsoever.

You have an easy 13.50 car with a 2.1 60'. I managed a 2.1 60' on bald tires. Very easy to do.

1: Lower pressure to 22psi
2: Hold revs @ 4K-4.5K
3: Let clutch straight up, quickly
4: ???
5: Profit

At least you realize that 60 foot time is hurting your ET. 103 MPH trap is good so you know that the car has potential.

You might alter tire pressure. Street tires flex little but 28 pounds might be OK.

When staging try a different location. Move right or left a few feet. Good luck.

Yeah, I am hoping maybe bye the middle of Sept that temps will drop into the 60's with low humidity. I have always heard that it is prepped well, etc.

if it's any consolation it appears as if your 60' improved after getting some practice in.

my 60' were improving because i started launching at about 2.5k and felt it hooking good.

Oh yeah, do a big burnout. Even radials will get sticky. I pulled 2.1 on stock tires and 1.9's on my 275's after sizeable burns.

I didn't see your early post before, but I launch at 2700-3000 depending on track prep and temp with 22-24psi in the rears (255/40 Falken Azenis). Shift out of 1st at 7000, 2nd and 3rd at 6800. The track I run at is pretty well prepped. I never do a note worthy burnout...try to avoid the water.

Please lower it to 28psi. I don't know what all this 2500 and 3300 stuff is that you're referencing. At least you went to the faster track (Sac Raceway), as Sears Point is typically the slower of the two when there is a headwind. You can hear how it sometimes howls here (me in the black Z):

Respectfully, I beg to differ. He ran 14.1s with a 2.22s 60'. How do you figure he'll drop over 1/2s with a menial tenth off of his 60'? I think he has a high 13s car, maybe 13.8x if he gets it all perfect.

2500 dumping the clutch. Track prep that day was ok but I've seen better. Also something alot of people don't realise a way to cheat and guarantee better times almost.

Check the weather for that day at the track, then google elevation calculator to get the elevation around the time you were at the track. Then wait until a colder day springs up for your altitude to be lower and guaranteed you will see better times. One day I was at the track my elevation at approx 550 pm was a little over 600 ft above sea level. Temps went down and we were at -855 ft and that was when I ran my 13.9 first time out in the z.

Scotts300. I was judging by his 2.4 60' on the first run with the 14.1. Granted its not a typo and that same run gets a 2.1 60' he'd be in the 13.50's. Now comparing my 13.90 slip he's trapping 3 mph faster. That's alot but my 1/8th time was a 9.0 so I was moving along.
Scratch that op post the entire slip. I'm looking at my 14.1 slip and we need to get your **** into 13's asap. Your doing something wrong or slow at the 330'. Here's my slip.
