I read they only lock up 30%...all I want is able to do a burnout without embarrassment at track and able to put it sideways when I get the rare need...people say they end up becoming an open diff...like I said I have experience...old man z's seem to be holding up in his vids

My fancy JDM diff was nice enough to let me do a one wheel burnout at the track..

My stock LSD ran 10@138 all day and night...I dont know the % of lock up to be exact but like I said, the stock one will be just fine for you. If you want to get a Nismo that would work even better, but klunks when you turn.

The key is stop the WHEEL HOP..If you get wheel hop your gonna break them in 2 or 3 passes.. simple as that.. I used all solid rear bushings with full slicks and never broke another axle, and was running refurbished stock ones...
You might want to let that be known and notify an admin to make it a sticky.

Why? Ill just get banned for telling the truth about companies and their shenanigans ...Especially if they are a sponsor. They told be cause the axles were over a year old they wouldn't warranty them, but I purchased them and they sat in my storage until the car was done and they were on the car a few weeks before they broke.

Ran 9.67 with a 1.413 60' on stock axles. Doable but the setup has to be right for it to last.

Correct weight distribution, good pre load, tires that can soften the shock properly.

This is kind of an old thread now but for once I feel like I can be useful! I was looking at lsd's because I want to still the power I make. If you look at the insane drag cars the big shops have made (injected performance) their record breaking drag cars use the stock vlsd. With huge 4 digit whp numbers and fast 60'. I decided to skip it personally. At least till I grenade mine all over the street.

Yeah but they never drive allot of miles on the cars only when racing... The vlsd is not rebuildable and has a short life and only locks up 30 percent...I could buy a pumpkin swap it and it one tire peel... I'd rather spend the money once and be done and get the quaife that is rebuildable and locks like it should
