JIC-Magic are taking orders on there Z33/G35C Hard Tie Rods.
These are complete replacement inner tie rods which have a "spacer" machined into the inner portion which will allow for ~5-10% additional angle.
They also benefit from being made of higher quality stronger steel and use larger better quality bearings.
I am told that these should arrive from Japan in 6-8 weeks. go to www.jic-magic.com to contact them.

Tie rods don't just break for no reason, you must have either crashed or hit something while turning to break those.
Unfortunately even the strongest rods will break under racing/drifting conditions once in a while. Especially in S13's.
JIC hard tie rods are known to be some of the strongest and most dependable upgrades out there, they are far superior to many of the other brands offered. If I was you I would give them another chance, especially since no one else is offering anything for the Z33 yet other than if you go custom.

hmmm... does anyone have any pictures of jic's tie rod of the portion that threads into the rack?
or better yet thickness of the built in spacer?
also for those that are running it, did you shave anything down? to allow for all that angle of steering ie.. the lca bumpstop

You need to shave the steering bump stops a little... I did mine by trial and error in order to not shave too much since I still run pretty wide front wheels/tires sometimes at track days and didn't want them to rub on the inside fender.
The JIC's have the "spacer" machined into them, it is all one piece. I'm not sure of the thickness, it should be the same as the S14.
Some other brands use an add on spacer, which you could use even with the stock rods but you might not have enough thread left over to run this safely.

Chris was actually the first to try this... he modified the S14 rods by cutting ~2" off the end and extending the threads. Then one day when Alex was doing my alignment, I had him cut 2" off a set of Tein S14 rods I had and we put it on which lasted me ~ 2 months... it is a good cheap way to do it but will break eventually if used at the track. You can do this with any brand tie rod, most people use the Teins since they seem to be one of the cheapest and most commonly available.
For a long term "fix" that will actually work as an upgrade, try the JIC's as they will not break as easily.

i have had the s14 battle version tien ones on my car for awhile, and they kick ***. with some cutting and grinding you will get a very nice amount of steering out of them. i highly recommend them. haven't tried the jic ones yet because i don't believe they exhist here. i called the reps a few months ago and they told me i couldn't have them.
