thats baller lol. i complain my 255 and now my 275s are too expensive. oh how i love my falken 615s though

i used to run 255s up front and 255s out back, now i run 255s up front and 275s out back. mostly in 17 inches, as the 18s get too expensive. also, i like how 17s grip in the front more, 18s seem to have smaller sidewalls in the tires i use, and less grip when drifting. maybe the super short sidewalls respond faster than i'm used to or something.

you get 3-4 days at an event per set of tires?!?!?!?!?!?! your event organizers aren't getting you enough seat time! i go through 4-6 rear tires per event, per day, and thats using self control! i could go through alot more. i think i went through 12 in one weekend before. at one of our venues, you get 50+ runs a day drifting, and extra grip laps as well. i want to come do a local day at irwindale, but how many runs do you get?

I dont even count, id say 20-25? could be better, but im not gonna pay more so im happy. ive been meaning to take a count actually, I count at Z/G drift day

i counted 16 at the last one but thats with crashes including three that took forever to clear because they needed the forklift

way more at a parking lot event, but ive just been running irwindale all summer.
im no engineer but I assume that the size of the tire helps to spread the heat out and make them last longer, but I dont complain.

a friend of mine and i chatted about it for a few minutes tonight, and figured if a person didn't drift the bank, the rest of the course is basically decelerating drifting, and wouldn't be too hard on the tires unless you could have alot of throttle commitment. i could see how you get your tires to last there. if you have the power to drift the bank though, you could kill tons of them. derrick, the guy i was chatting with, said he went through 6 sets of rears last time he was there. that was on a higher hp car though. i still really want to come out and do willow springs or horse thief mile, and then hit up irwindale. i've kinda missed out on the whole cali drift scene so far.

very true. i think the infield was justr re-paved as well at the beginning of the summer. its slick, and probably very easy on tires. i had a new set of s0-3's last me 2 events. as long as you don drift the bank, tires should last a while. gotta remember, ihatethatbobbarker is still NA with minor bolt ons, still wont stop him from drifting the bank though
