dont weld your stock vlsd, havent heard anything good from it. You are better off buying an open diff and welding it. or selling your vlsd and putting it towards a 2 way or 1.5 lsd
i knew welding the vdiff was a big no no back in the day but lately, ppl have been poppin up swearing by their welded vlsds
I've been leaning towards that affordable tomei piece for a while now, think im gonna scoop one up for next season
i've been using a welded vlsd for 2+ years for drift events and daily driving. So far the only thing that broke in the driveline was clutch pivot and my diff bush in the subframe is cracked but not leaking. Everything else is fine.
Yes queensbury is correct. Lebeanon valley dragway the closest place to me that hosts drift events but they are just parking lot events. That's about a hour and a half south east from me. The closest track to me is lime rock park which is the lock city drift events and that is in Connecticut, its about 2 1/2 hours southeast from me.
^^ I have been rocking pbm this year. made 3 events with them, my friend Waldy and I installed it and we were fortunate to have it set up the best we could (eyed out). Car handles like a dream. I wouldn’t be happier. Although one of my friend had issues with it and car felt out of whack mine has been very good to me, no shaking or fighting the steering wheel to get the car where i want it. It is all in how u set it up. If you don't set it up properly you will have issues. Thats like everything now a days.
little video from US drift circuit couple months back here in miami.

I don't have Instagram. You happen to have the picture? And this was from St. Louis at gateway motorsports. Not sure if it is near englishtown? That event was the week I got my car done so it didn't have half the body pieces on as I got the car wrecked. It's all straight and one piece now tho. Lol. Ordering Pbm steering kit in 2 weeks.
