Loosing weight off the front end will help but 3200lbs vs 2200-2600lbs is a whole world of difference.
You are correct when you say that the weight plays a big difference. I however love the new "heavy" layout, my old car was a gutted/stripped down FC with a sr20, weighed in at 2600. This car is a hefty 32-3300. But along with big weight comes big power. You can actually use the weight of the car to keep the slide going with little power, and also in the straights, the car can have a tendency to just keep the tires spinning to the next turn. Like i was sayin earlier, in na form, it is still a great drift car, but i added a procharger last week because of problems spinning my 245's over 80mph.

And with the correct suspension and tires, you can totally control the car no matter the weight. I wont plow through the turns or anything like that as long as you are locked into a good slide. and when it comes to linking the turns, you can either try and go wide and carry alot of speed and link, or come out with less speed and pendulum down the straight and link. Either way its a very controlable and predictable car.

After researching on this forum, the VDC/TCS is completely off when you turn it off. It's just that people got confused about not being able to turn off LSD/ABS and it somehow got linked to VDC/TCS. After finding that out, I'm starting to lean towards the Enthusiast trim in case one my family members decide to steal...<cough>, I mean borrow and take it for a ride, that way I'll feel a little safer that they won't wreak it. Plus, the extra stuff sounds appealing to me now. I'm not good with tools, so the aluminum pedals preinstalled sounds good. I can always sell the stock LSD and keep the stock LSD housing so I don't have to buy extra parts and get charge a little more for installing it. It'll be a while before I buy aftermarket LSD, so it'll be a good investment. The HID sounds like nice, but I heard it wasn't as good as aftermarket HIDs, it's okay. Auto-dimming rearview mirror sounds good for watching my back at night. Everything else just seem like minor things, but the ones I listed are pretty major.

Topics II, I think I saw your post about the Kaaz 24-disc diff in another thread, I can't wait to hear about how good it is. Let me know about the drift pads you're getting too because I know I'll have to look for really good pads for the new brake system.

Those ES100 are pretty popular, I thought about going with those once the stock tires wears out. Ahh, you explain the tire solution really simple, so I should definitely go for shorter sidewalls and wide tires. Is it much better to run wider tires in the rear like you have than in the front because I found on other forums that it's much better for wider tires to be in the front so that you can grip better so that the fishtail comes back to normal when you get out of the turn. Thanks for tire pressure info, I was always wondering what amount of pressure I should put.

I'm also thinking about getting a supercharger, but that'll be a while, by that time, the supercharger will be better than currently now. Plus, the torque is really high on this car, so it should be enough to last me a while.

DGTA sounds really awesome, I might be able to go watch it. After you said Signal Auto, me my friends would really love to see them in action! Since I don't own a 350Z yet, I won't able to drift in it and my friend probably won't be able to get his RWD Corolla ready by that time. I wasn't able to attend the Hyperfest this year, but I still might want to go to it next year, more drifting experience even if it's just a little. Like you said, they seem a little unorganized, so they might not even last long, but we'll see how it goes along. I've never drove a RWD car before, but that drift clinic really sound good for the price!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, what camber settings do you all have for the front and rear?

I'm thinking it's best to have a camber of 0 for the rear and -1.5 for the front because you need all the grip up front and let the rear easily swing around.

Any camber kits allow a setting of 0 after lowering?

i am waiting on my jic rear camber rods, they should be here this week, that is why i have like an inch or so of wheelwell gap in the rear and literally none up front. cuz stock adjustment runs out after about 1" of lowering in the rear. But yes, -0.5 to 0 is best for the rear in my opinion. Just get it as close to zero without going positive!

I am waiting for a camber kit for the front to get a lil more neg. camber, i would run -2.5 to -3 in the front of my rx7, the turn in was great, and good control in drift. I want to get around -2 or so for the z. Evo-R i think made the eccentric bushing kit for the front that gave somewhere around + .5 to - 1.5 degrees of adjustment. I pm'd him but didnt get a response.
