Excess heat inside the differential case can lead to premature failure of every component, especially the factory viscous differential which also becomes less effective at higher temperatures. Not only does the heat damage the internal components, but often times we have found the factory and aftermarket differential bushings melted. A good way to combat temperatures inside the differential is to get the heat outside. This finned differential cover acts as a heat sink which allows the heat that builds up in the fluid to be transferred to the cast aluminum cover where the heat can be released through the integrated fins by air rushing over them.
Z1's Final Drive Differential Upgrade Kit includes everything you need to change your Final Drive Gear Ratio and Upgrade / Update your rear differential. If you are going to remove the differential why not only do it once.
