My ZR is a U.S. car with 20K.
Althought, I bought it from a dealer here in Toronto it was not converted. My odometer still reads the total amount of miles/ usage in miles and not in Kilometers. As for the speedometer, it reads on the outside circle in miles followed by the corrosponding inner circle as kilometers. As for the headlights, I don't have daytime running lights, instead the drivers light turn on automatically.
You should also check with Customs and Excise and Transportation Canada as to what year of vehicle they will let in. Obviously, it will be 04 and up, but that being said you will also get other valuable information regarding the importation of vehicles into Canada.
Overall, if you can find a trusted source in the states, it certainly would not be a bad option to consider.
Good luck.........
