Playing SC or BW will help your skills some what, such as with micro'ing, but SC2 will be a completely different breed of game IMO. Sort of like the transition from WC2 to WC3. I doubt anyone on these forums is anticipating this game quite as much as I am (I am planning on getting a completely new set-up for this one game ). It is about time Blizzard got away from their MMORPG trash and gave us RTS players something to chew on.

Amen brother. I've been waiting for SC2 ever since Blizz started dumping all their money into Warcraft (war3, frozen throne, WoW). Finally here. I have to say though, after seeing the screenshots, I'm disappointed. I was hoping for some kickass graphics but all I see is a SC version of war3. I'm sure I wont be disappointed once I get my hands on it.

I never stopped playing SC/BW lol
or Wc3/TFT for that matter

I'm really hoping that they don't make it too much like WC3 where micromanagement is everything. I mean the term zerg doesnt mean the race itself, but a strategy.

The units in WC3 was too big for my taste. And hero class were too powerful.
