Default Vortech Supercharger kit

Hi all,

I was looking into investing into the Vortech Supercharger kit. Does anyone here have it installed?

The only MAIN concern I have is, if the Vortech Kit is safe and reliable for daily use and track use straight out of the box. I just want a bit of extra power so I will not be getting a standalone system for additional boost and tuning.

How much power do you think it will plant down at the wheels? All I have in my car currently is 3"JIC exhaust, Turbonetics downpipe (No cat) and the Kinetix Intake Plenum.

Let me know from your experiences. Or other kits, (Procharger etc..)

Thanks,

Nick

It can be reliable w/a good tune! scratch the ssbox and get a utec. go to the forced induction section and you'll find a wealth of info.

^hi,
As mentioned, search is your friend. But we do have at least 2 local z owners (that I am aware off) that are running SC's.
Maple leaf has the Stillen unit and another member "Phaenom" (SP), has the vortech kit. I am sure they would answer any questions you may have.

Good luck,

Phaneom has been missing for a while. Where he go?

AFAIK, he was running the SS box and all stock tune. Still made decent numbers. Sat in his car before, definitely pulls hard, it's about equivalent as the APS TT on stock tune.

hi there !

Yes it is very reliable ! for sure !

I run it out of the box with the 3.125 pulley and I'm still piggy rich...

I beat my car every days... and it still want more...

it is bolt on... not very hard if you take your time...2 to 4 days installation, depending of your skill....

if you have more question, feel free to pm me... I also have the best place for the best price the Vortech kit...
