A terrible accident has left a woman struggling for her life after she was apparently struck by two cars. The bizarre mishap took place at Grandravine and Sentinel Dr. near Keele and Sheppard around 11am Monday.
Reports indicate the woman was crossing the street when she hit by by one vehicle, flew in the air and may have landed directly into the path of another car, which is also said to have run her over. Police have yet to confirm the sequence of events but do say she was somehow hit twice.
An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene to fly the badly injured victim to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
But that wasn't the end of the carnage. One of the vehicles lost control and crashed into a house.
There's no word on the extent of the damage or whether anyone else was hurt. The condition of the drivers is also unclear, and police say it's too soon to know what caused the accident or if street racing may have been involved.
