Sooo today I started making one of these bad boys



only out of Mild Steel for now, no SS.. that will come after this prototype is running and fits good.

So far I have the 4-1 collector and turbo flange made, and the jig, Im making the head flange today, well at least starting it.

I'll ceramic coat the damn thing when its done

You mean on your stock track pack, or from the factory? I sure hope it's the former... I've never even heard of cars that come without heating. Even the GT3 RS has it, and may even have AC.

 

i love #3s..so comfortable.

 

from the factory the 2003 track pack 350z has no a/c or heat. they took it out for weight savings when you're circuit racing.

 

^IIRC, 2004 and up track pack had AC

Before I bought my Perfomance Model, I was looking at another 2004 Track Pack Z and it had AC.

 

yeah, they added a/c and heat to the 2004+ track packs. it's a shame, i'm always either boiling hot during summer, or freezing cold in the winter (before it snows)

 

Wow. I would never street drive a car with no A/C. Well, I have in the past, but that's one of the reasons why I won't anymore

 

My AC in my MR2 doesn't even work. I gotta recharge that ****...

I decided to keep AC during the engine swap cuz the thought of thunderstorm plus 30*+ weather will prevent me from rolling down the window... thus suffocating inside.

Rich, I never knew your car had no heat, that's quite strange..

that's why the newer 350z's had a softer clutch and the addition of the a/c & heat, cuz people probably complained that it was too "track oriented".
