Location: RIM PARK WATERLOO (MAP TO COME SOON)
Description: A gathering of all car clubs from Golden Triangle region, as well as other car enthusiasts from other parts of Southern Ontario.

I would like to advise that the management team reviewed your request for use of the City of Waterloo's RIM Park - outdoor parking lot.
We will permit on a trial basis the car club gathering as represented by you , known as Golden Triangle Automotive Network. This is based on no requirement of City staffing or resources to hold your gathering/event. Any requirement of services or City resources, will be billed accordingly.
This trial basis will be for 2 or 3 "meets" as noted to be held on Wednesday at 7:00 pm on a schedule that we require you to provide.
The trial basis will allow both parties to assess the challenges, impacts and success of your gathering. Our (the City's and venue ) concern, is that safely to all user of RIM Park is paramount. Any misconduct related to safety will result in the removal of your "car community gathering" from City facilities and property. All City by-laws are to be adhered to , including but not limited to fire route, parking locations, noise by-law, and requirement of appropriate licensing should vendor retailing be conducted.
We look forward to having your well organized event on site and anticipate, with your confirmation that the first date will be either Wednesday May 13 or Wednesday May 20. Please confirm, as well as provide a schedule for the first of the 3 events/meets/gathering.

I confirmed the first date is MAY 13, 2009 (May 6th was already booked up)

The following two dates are May 27 and June 10 (Every 2nd week WED).
If these PILOT meets go without issues, we will continue to hold the meets there for remaining of SEASON.

Thanks to Wil (Zspot) for helping me out with obtaining the permission to hold the meets there.

^^ yeah I found that funny as well but it was later clarified that the idea was really to avoid going through a residential area.

I didn't think anyone here would want to join this meet otherwise I would have posted earlier and a separate thread.

 

Hey Winter been long enough time to go out and have some fun. Beside it is the same date as our Clubs Joint meeting in Milton , let me know if you are going to do the one later in May. Doing a Rochester meet June 14 and the Japanese Meet July 18th.

 

Sounds good I forgot about the Milton meet. I need to put these in my calander.

I want to go on the cruze dont let me forget Hope my car is not in the shop then LOL

 

I will remind you about the Cruise at the end of the month
