Default anyone ever buy a vehicle from RepoDepo?

Went to look at some of their pick-ups over the weekend and submitted an offer. I went in very low since there are repos and have likely been neglected in the service area.

Anybody have any experience with this place?

i've only been there once in my life and i couldn't justify buying a car there since the savings weren't that substantial and you take a huge risk not being able to test drive or inspect the car before you buy.

your outcome is pretty much as good as flipping a coin. you could get a really well-maintained car, or could get a real lemon.

I will see if they accept my bid, but considering how much they think retail is I doubt they will. At that point I would prefer to spend a little more and buy private or from a reputable dealer

Well, I may be wrong but I'd assume if the prior owner wasn't able to pay the note, I doubt they spent a lot of dough on maintenance. I bet they would have tried to make a payment before getting an oil change....Could be way off base though.

i would probably assume the same thing, but you never know. i've met some people who spend beyond their means and would put their valued possessions (car in this case) above everything else. they may maintain the car, but not be able to pay the monthly lease/finance payment.

either way, i'd actually trust private more so than places like repo depo. at least with private you can try the car out and send it to your mechanic to do an inspection.

I trust private WAY more than any non OEM dealer. I think it's kinda like this OEM > Private > Repo > Used Car Lot
I ranked Repo ahead of used car lots, because with repo, you may or may not get ripped off, if you buy from a used car lot, you ARE getting ripped off.

speaking of "getting what you paid for", i saw an audi a4 last week with a "prestige motors" license plate holder pull into the sunoco i was in.

i chuckled to myself of course and went on to inspect the car. mind you, this COULD have been because of the owner, but the car was a POS. had small dents all over the place and the wheels were rashed up the ying-yang.

what an eye sore to a once nice looking car

^^ i'm tempted to tell the owners about our stories, but i don't think they would appreciate knowing they got ripped off or bought a potential lemon
