Both Rich and I have vids on our comps, but I think neither knows how to edit out licence plates, plus the videos are giant. It's 1.5 gigs for maybe 20 min of footage, if even.

i've pulled all the videos and have gone through them a few times before passing out last nite. there's only one or two that are worth posting, the rest are kinda garbage (me and james didn't do that great of a job taping).

i also did a test upload onto you tube and the format that the camera saves the vids under (.mod) goes online with no problems. the only problem now is editing the vids. microsoft movie maker can't recognize the file format and the only program that can is something like adobe premiere.

OUCH! I say it adds a splash of colour to the otherwise grey, black, white scenery. All we need now are the other colours.

^^ i would make a full video, but the format of the source vids are giving me a lot of trouble. i need adobe premiere to get things up and running b'cuz microsoft movie maker is too basic for high def. vid formatting.

Oh yea, I was looking at the camera some more, and I don't think it's hi-def like I originally said. I saw no mention of it anywhere in the manual, or on the box, so it's prolly just a regular camcorder, but hard drive based.

yeah, it's not high def, but the quality is good enough for what we need. i think next time we do rolling shots, we'll put it on a tripod in cabin and i'll tell my buddy not to zoom in and out so much.
