I was planning to go to Sparta on the 4th and meet up with the Ontario z club for there drag day to see what the zr will do. I emailed the OZC guys for details but have not heard back yet.

If I change my mind i will let you know.

 

I have to pass on July 4th as im taking the 370 to the Z drag day at St Thomas that day. I just got the Stillen G3 intake and I will be changing the diff to a 4.08 this week.
The quickist time for 7At is 13.2. Im hoping to lower that time.

I received a mail back from Jim and the OZC guys will be gathering between 9-10am on the grass next to the stageing lanes.

Like we talked maybe we can make a few runs and still get to the speedster meet. I will have to see how the day goes as its a fair drive to st. thomas and then all the way accross T.O. and back again home.

Maybe Party at Mikes Fri night spend the night, then hit the dragstrip in the morning then head on to the speedster meet.

 

Yeah I already spoke to the GF, you are welcome to stay Friday night if you want to cut down on your drive a bit. I think I live about 20-25 minutes from the drag strip.

 

OH yeah if any of my other buds want to do the same just let me know. Keep in mind we are having a huge family gathering on the sunday so the house has to stay clean. hahaha.

 

OH man,
I just realized my gas tank is FUL to the brim with ULTRA 94 and and I will not be driving my car until Saturday mornign for the drag racing. This will add over 100 pounds to my car!!!!!!!!! ARGH!
Could I siphon it off into something?

 

Just cruise around full throttle in first gear at redline. That'll burn off quick

 

Just finnished installing the Stillen G 3 intake on the the 370. Now it sounds like a Z.
It feels faster and i will dyno it tomorrow night to see how much it made.
Base is 266 RWHP.

Not sure if i will have the 4.08 diff installed for saturday.
Make sure that you bring an aproved helmet for the track.

 

DO you need helmet if you have a 14 sec car?

 

To the best of my knowledge as long as you are above 14.0 you do not need one.
I could be wrong .

 

If you are new to Drag racing, don’t worry, there is plenty of expertise available to get you started. Cars that will run sub 14 second elapsed times will require a currently approved driver’s helmet. If you are a novice, it is very unlikely you will run below 14 seconds E.T.

 

I've only gone once 5 years ago and I was in the low to mid 14's.
Car is a lot older now, and only has a couple of bolt ons. And I will have 60L of gas on board this time. haha.

Hi guys - in case you don't mind a couple of us GTRs are going to come down and join you and check out all the moded Zs and Gs. There are 2 of so far that I know of....if we can get 3-4 that is like 8% of the cars in the province - so not a bad turn out (best we have done at GTR meets so far has been 6). My neighbour who bought my Z and I are driving down togeather. See you Saturday.

 

Maybe I will invite my friend in his GTR as well. He has a red one.
