Default 2 370z

I parked my silver 370 z today at cumberland parking garage and there was a black 370 z parked 2 spots away from me.
What a nice sight.

Dynoed the car last night 7 AT with sports
266 rwhp and 224 lbs of torque.
The dyno had trouble picking up rpm between 6600 and 6850 rpm.
not sure why ? Then it worked just fine up to 7200.
Had to use 4 th gear for the pulls. 5th took to long but it made 228 lbs of torque. I think it hit the seed limiter at 250 km.
Driving home the car was very agressive in rev matching, (not a fan of this it feels like it surges when it changes gears around 50 km. )
The ecu did not like the dyno. the car feels very slow driving home.
Never had this problem with my 2003 z.

Very interesting. Thank you for posting this info.

Question,
What type of dyno did you run on? I expected about 280whp from the 370z, as a baseline...

Thanks!

doesn't a revup only have like 230? And a hr 240? That's quite a big hike for it to be 280

4th gear, 350z are dynoed in 6th
but it does sound sort-of reasonable, 30hp more on top of the hr = 270~

I have seen most HR's baseline at around 260whp.
ex: Brady..

Ninja Edit: He has an Auto.. perhaps thats why he dyno'd lower than the 6mt's

Actually 5th gear is a 1-1 pull.

IIRC, that was for his Osiris track tune. His 260whp was his baseline with JIC exhaust..

On then 350 z the auto reads about 217 to 221. while a MT reads about 233 to 237 rwhp. I would expect a 370z mt to make about 285 to 287 bone stock.
The reason I went to 4th was because it looked like the car would hit about 250 km around 7000. it would not rev any more in 5th.
It took about 2 hour of driving till the ecu got back to normal.
I had the ABS light and VDC light on for the first 5 min after the dyno run.
