Default Winter Tires

What kind of winter tires and sizes are people buying for the stock 18" rims? Are you going with the factory staggering or with something a bit different.

So far, I have found the Blizzak LM-22's to fit the staggered pattern but don't have any prior experience with them. I am looking to retain decent handling at the expense of some winter traction.

Anybody interested in trying a group buy for LM-22's in Eastern Ontario?

Tiretrends out of BC will do discounts on bulk orders. Is there anybody closer (I heard there was an incredible tire place near Toronto somewhere) who will do the same?

I used the LM22's in the stock sizes on my Z last year. They are a great tire for snow considering they give fairly good dry performance as well. Your only limit as far as getting stuck is concerned will be the cars ground clearence. Still, drive with a light foot in the snow and keep the VDC and TC on unless you need to power out of some snow.

Z's handle great in the winterfor me in Chicago---just put 200 lbs. of sand in the back in front of the rear brace-----to shift a little more weight to the rear
As for tires, used Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's on mine because I didn't want to buy extra wheels---used same same size tires as OEM----the Blizzaks should be even better
The biggest problem I had was the Enthusiast doesn't have heated outside mirrors----that was the worst part
Use common sense winter driving techniques and take it easy and the Z will be lots of fun in the snow

Thanks man

Actually I might considering getting 16"s for the winter... are you putting your winters on your 18"s? or are you buying a new set of rims?

Save your Z rims and go to Wal-Mart and buy some steel Black rims & tires, best prices to.
