Default Tire Advice??

So I need some new tires, and I am obviously thinking of changing my tire setup to something wider.

Most of you do not like my rims which is cool and all, but truthfully I'm not about to change them! So I gotta work with what I got

From measuring my rims while on the car, which may not be 1 million percent accurate but could it's pretty close,
It seems like the rears are 10 inch wide
and
It seems like the fronts are 9.5 inch wide

So I'm thinking of going with:
Front
255 40 18

Back
285 40 18
or
305 35 18?? But this size seems like they are very expensive!

Advice anyone?

Thanks
Matthew

You need to figure out how wide your wheels are, measuring a tire is doesn't help as wheel widths are measured bead to bead, not lip to lip.

Better guesses on those measurements would be 9.5 rear and 9 front maybe 8.5 even.

305/35/18 is going to look retarded, have you have seen a 305 tire? especially a 305/35? That's some serious meat.

IF they are 9.5 I recommend 275/30 (could do 285/30 but I wouldn't go bigger)

The front stick to 245/35 or something along the lines of that. Make sure the profile is one up on the rear though so you don't confuse your VDC.

I strongly suggest you take the 20 minutes to jack up the side of your car pull your wheels off and look at what's printed into the back of them. Then send me a pm.

275 man. don't go wider, you're going to promote understeer with that much of a discrepancy in tire size. as it is, the Z exhibits understeer unless you throttle steer or lift off during turn in.

I didn't measure the tire width, I measured inside the rim width

Lets keep in mind, I do not have any type of lowering springs or coilovers, so I do not want to have a big gap from the fender, I really don't plan on buying any either....

and do you think I should grab some Hubcentric spacers??

I don't know your offsets, but I strongly suggest you lower your car.

I daily my car and have less than 2" from ground to body, (in a freakin sedan!) You can do it too!

Yeah, but my lip kit is so low as it is, and I do scrape sometimes now without lowering, I can't even imagine it any lower

Are your fenders rolled ? If not your gonna rub going over 275 in the rear unless you have high offsets and looks like you dont have super aggresive offsets but its just a guess from the pics I saw.

265/35/18 all 4 corners. I am moving up to at least 285x4 when these tires ned replacing and by then I will be lowered 1"-1.5" but I am also going to roll the fenders and may even get a slight tug on them. 18x10.5 +15 are the rim sizes btw.

more of a side shot

FWIW i'm running 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 and i love the more square setup. I previously had 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 (and the stock 225/45/18 and 245/45/18)

My current rims are 19x9 and 19x10 and the rear has the smallest of stretches them.

You'd prob be happy with 255/285, but if you're not boosted, that's going to give you too much grip imo and you're going to notice some performance hits.

Based on tires diameter and sidewall, I'm kind of leaning towards
245/40/18 or 255/40/18 in the Front
and
275/40/18 in the Rear

You need to get your wheel widths before any of us give you a legit opinion.

Pulled off the wheel, and there is no indication of any wheel size, width or offset, so basically I'm stuck with the info I know

its ADR battle Exe, there are different offsets and widths,

I literally had it up on a hoist and I inspected every inch of every wheel....

Ok so my best guess is, it's most likely these specs.....

Model: ADR BATTLE EXE
Size: 18x8.5 FRONT & 18x9.5 REAR
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
Offset: +35 FRONT & +35 REAR
Color: Gunmetal W/Polished Lip
Quantity: A Set Of 4

This is what is "Labeled" as a prepackaged set for 350Z`s
