No. Slowly becoming exclusively a track car. I am loosely planning on swapping in a cammed LS3, so I didn't want to put a tonne into the power train anymore.

I just read up on the ls engines. The LS9 (ZR1) is a LS3 based engine because of the thicker cylinder walls. The LSA (CTS-V/Camaro ZL1) is also a LS3 based engine.
LS3 = 430/424 hp/tq More widely available, and has to be cheaper. Better for F/I.
LS7 = 505/470 hp/tq A great engine with lots of potential. More expensive.

LS3 is the right choice I agree 2th. I have a big one for a LS7 but a cam'd LS3 would be cool too it its a lot cheaper.

LS3 with the right cams makes ~ 515 hp

Just need to find a donor Camaro SS later on.

regarding the exhaust discussion...

If you haven't read this thread, do so
https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...k-for-n-a.html

To sum it up, buy the XYZ Y-pipe, and any single exhaust that is 3in+ (AP, Greddy, custom).

Ill be running berks/xyz with straight pipe/AP y-back this spring if you want to hear it first. I imagine it will be raspy, loud, and obnoxious.
