Default has anyone removed the resonator?

i had the car on the lift the other day just checking out the undercarriage and noticed the muffler sized resonator. since i want a little louder exhaust note until i get an exhaust system, i was thinking about cutting the resonator out and just replacing it with a 2.5'' pipe. has anyone done this? how does the car sound afterwards?

I had this before my exhaust. It is only raspy the first 3-5 minutes, after warm-up it is not raspy. I actually miss having the stock exhaust sometimes, the sound of it with the removed resonator was soooo sweet with the revs coming down-like right after a nice rev match. I had it done at a local muffler shop for $40, I would recommend it.

its obnoxious, warm or not, don't do it. I had mine cut out, and put right back in. It drones from 3-5000 rpms, in the cruising range.
