Shoot I couldn't even get the car to hit the 155 speed limiter before the turbo. It just took way to long . I don't think my car could do it .

If you use some of the web calculators with the MT gearing top speed is around 180, but if you swap it out with the AT rear end you should be around 190 this at 6600 RPM.

With 7100 RPM then it would be 207 with the AT rear end and 193 with MT rear end.

Of course wind speed and direction plus tire sizes would make a difference, boy that 200MPH figure would be cool to reach, just would like to find a safe clear place to do it, the street/highway just doesn't make me comfortable not just for the cops but for condition of the road unless you have gone down it minutes before but even then I racoon would create some havoc at 200 MPH.

I hit the governor twice in mine when it was bone stock, tires and all. I still felt like 6th was pulling fairly decent too, didn't take very long at all. I think a stock 350z could easily hit 165-170'ish without the governor. I saw a video once of a Ferarri hitting 203 mph out in Arizona during the 2003 coast to coast run (forgot the name of the event). The passenger was filming the digital speedo pretty impressive.

This was done with my previous car that had 263whp NO TS re-flash. The other day I hit 163mph with my current Z in a much shorter path of road. It sure does help the extra 32whp.

I wouldn't even push my Z pass 140mph after seeing what happened to this Z doing 200 plus mph.

It was me, I was driving alone at 3:00 am in the highway. Tells you how stable the Z felt.

Agreed. I went 120 by following a TT Supra and a friend's 350Z on the interstate. I had no clue I was going that fast until I looked at the speedo. I immediately let off the throttle... That **** is too dangerous...

I guess to each his/her own, but I could think of a few other cars for 35 grand I could get to drive the speed limit? Not that a 350Z doesn't look great, but even with a Z I would upgrade the suspension to ride smoother, upgrade the stereo, and strat trimming out the interior. Well, that is if I wanted to drive the speed limit.

I spent my $36k for a performance car, to perform Guess I am stupid.

Wow! At that speed you would need a crow bar to peel my hands off the steering wheel with the death grip I would have.

The Z is incredibly stable at high speeds. I can take it up over 150mph with ease. The fastest it has gone is 159mph at which point it felt like it could go more but it just stayed there (governor?). This was on stock potenzas. However, I soon confronted a caddy that decided to pull onto the road in front of me and go about 40 mph ._. So yeah, the next day I ordered a stoptech stage 2 setup and I wont be doing any more top speed runs unless im in Bonneville.

one of the biggest holdups to top speed is lack of torque to overcome drag...the calculators I think miss the mark because very few cars can pull redline in top gear...meaning calculating top speed at redline is almost meaningless....even the Z06 vette makes top speed in 5th and not 6th...

Because their 6th gear is a very tall gas saver gear. Same with the Z28's, and really most 6 speed cars. Ours is not, it is sequential just like 1-5 and our top speed is DEFINITELY 6th gear. I don't think we can actually redline 6th stock, but it is easily possible without pychotic mods. 5th only goes about 140'ish, 6th easily hits the 156 governor in a stock 350Z.

Yeah I agree that tops speed in is gonna come in 5th for auto and 6th for manual...but pulling redline in topgear is a little different..lotsa drag..
phsychotic mods would probably do it.....
