Default Traction control

I heard that driving with traction control uses more fuel is that true? And when driving around town, is it good to have traction control on or off ????

Other way around. Losing traction and spinning the wheels uses more fuel per distance traveled. (lower MPG) I leave my traction control on around town and only turn it off if I think it's necessary to get better performance but ,on or off is just a preference
