i have the escort GT2 and is a nice package for the money - less than $200. Out of the box, turn it on and quick calibation will get you great results. For even better accuracy, spending some time adjusting weight and other parameters will show the true numbers. if nothing else, it is a great tool for benchmarking.

I've wondered about all these accelerometers - can they be installed in the factory nav compartment, or must they be affixed to the windshield/dash? I think it would be SWEET to have a GT2 tucked away in the nav compartment.

Thanks,
NzZ

ya that would be realy cool to have a g timer in the little nav box. good idea. i think it should work as long as its still in the same position as on the windshield. ie not laying face up or side ways.

theoretically it should work.

here is the instructions from the manual "Mount the Performance Computer centered between the driver and passenger with the suction cup mount. Make sure the unit is squarely mounted in the car. Do not mount the unit so it is angled toward the driver. "

It is a perfect fit in the nav compartment.
