Well, the bolt ons sound really good. As for the wheels, the 17's that come with the base model will be good enough for me since they're lighter than 18's. I would really like to get LSD done but that would be money out the *** so can't do that.
If i had the money to spare first thing i would do is of course forced induction. For now just bolt ons.

1.) AAM plenum spacer
2.) Exhaust (you're preference, they gain about the same; includes true-dual: Injen, Stillen, or Borla/y-pipe back and y-pipe: Magnaflow, Fujitsubo, Nismo, high flow cats/test pipes: Kinetix resonated test pipes, and headers: Crawford or Nexus/Alphawerks.
3.) JWT popcharger or AEM/Injen cold-air intake
4.) JUN flywheel (14 lbs.)
5.) Deal with the ECU (reflash done by AAM or Technosquare, or piggyback, or standalone)
6.) Lightweight wheels.
Just my opinion.
If you want more...
B&M/Nismo short shifter
350EVO 3.9 gears
Quaife LSD
Coilovers (Tein basics if you don't plan on tracking the car too much)
Eibach front and rear sway bars
75-shot wet nitrous kit (Nitrous Express)
Carbon fiber rear hatch
Lightweight battery (Optima or Hawk(er?))
Tomei 268 camshafts
That's all I can think of for now.

I think he means since the person who is asking what mods are best has a Base model Z he should get an LSD. I agree wholeheartedly, you'll feel a big diff when you powerslide the car and you'll launch cleaner.

1) 350evo.com 3.9 final drive gear
2) lightweight flywheel
3) UR underdrive pulleys
4) Crawford plenum (& cats & headers - ha!)
5) Catback exhaust (Nismo, Injen, Stillen, Borla, etc.)
6) ECU flash
After all that, you better get wheels / tires & suspension upgrade!

oh ok.. well, 3.55 to 3.90 isn't really that big of a jump. I know it would help but I'm used to jumping from (muscle cars) from ratios like 3.27's to 4.30's or what not. I'm sure it will help of course but it would be too much money for not that much of a gear ratio change. Although LSD sounds really good.
